The Bolivian Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies (CEBEM) is a non-profit association that is dedicated to multidisciplinary research and teaching at the postgraduate level in the field of social sciences as a private and autonomous centre, dedicated to:
- Research, reflection and discussion of significant issues in Bolivian society and Latin America, through multidisciplinary perspectives and focuses;
- Disseminating intellectual production through publications, seminars, workshops, and national and international knowledge networks.
- Giving professional upgrading courses through online courses
- Services.
CEBEM proposes and promotes the elaboration of inter-institutional projects with the hopes of taking full advantage of valuable human resources and avoiding improvisations and duplications.
CEBEM promotes collaboration in areas such as democracy, regional and urban development and environmental management.
CEBEM concentrates its efforts on studying the reach and impact of current state policies that transform its relations with society, alter the traditional modes of economic operations, and impact upon the composition of popular sectors and the practices of social, indigenous and union movements.
For the development of its activities, CEBEM has developed relationships with academic and cooperation institutions from Bolivia, Latin America, and outside of Latin America.
